What Are Core Web Vitals?
Google uses three metrics to score your site's real-world user experience. They affect rankings directly. Get them green and you rank higher. Get them red and Google buries you.
The Three Metrics
LCP — Largest Contentful Paint
How fast the biggest visible element loads. Target: under 2.5 seconds.
INP — Interaction to Next Paint
How fast the page responds when someone clicks. Target: under 200ms.
CLS — Cumulative Layout Shift
How much the page jumps around while loading. Target: under 0.1.
My Audit Process
I run every client site through the same checklist: PageSpeed on mobile and desktop, GTmetrix for waterfalls, WebPageTest for filmstrip view, and real-user testing with throttled 3G.

Excellent breakdown! The INP metric is so often overlooked. Thanks for explaining it clearly.
